Educating is a dialogue, not a monologue.
Each classroom participant, both teacher and leaner alike, bring something to the classroom. The most effective educator acknowledges this truth and embraces their responsibility to facilitate the individual contributions while providing appropriate foundational, transitional, summarizing support.
Educators do not talk to or talk at leaners, but talk with learners. They draw out the knowledge and experience of the individual and weave them into a tapestry of added knowledge and understanding.
